Position Responsibilities

  • Communicate with Chinese vendors to obtain and calculate accurate quotes
  • Work closely with sales team and other project managers to help clients place orders
  • Coordinate with 889 China team to qualify new vendors and conduct factory inspections
  • Complete manufacturing and shipping timelines, overseeing production and packaging inspections to ensure the right part arrives at the right time

Key Qualifications

  • Fluent in Mandarin and English
  • Three plus years of experience in project management (preferably in East Asian markets)
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field is highly desired
  • Ability to interpret drawings and prints of component parts is preferred

  • Identify and establish connections with prospective clients through networking, cold call, meeting, and email
  • Identify customer supply chain issues and provide appropriate solutions through qualified quoting opportunities
  • Work closely with project management and other sales team members to help clients place orders
  • Accurately record activity and client information in Salesforce

Key Qualifications

  • Superior communication skills – written, on the phone and in person
  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 plus years of sales and/or customer service in a manufacturing industry is highly preferred

Essential Skills / Competencies

  • 1-3 years of sales experience with at least 1 year selling to the OEM sector (including the Oil and Gas, Medical Device, Medical Furniture, and/or General Industrial industries)
  • Experience collaborating in a Small Business environment
  • Comfortable with the longer consultative sales cycle and familiarity with international markets
  • Proven success with a “Hunter” sales mentality and “Gatherer” business development skills

Team Reporting and Monitoring of Progress

  • Monitor sales data to strategize with leadership on sales trends and bottlenecks
  • Review CRM pipeline and develop action plans within department
  • Execute action plans to increase company presence and meet anticipated sales
