Judy Huang Scholarship established
Judy Huang, the CEO of 889 Global Solutions has partnered with The Columbus Foundation to initiate the Judy Huang Scholarship. The Columbus Foundation is an outstanding organization that has successfully attracted numerous funds for various nonprofits as well as causes. Since its first donation in 1944 the organization has grown to manage $ 1.7 billion in assets, awarding more than $ 1.86 billion to a wide range of philanthropic interests.’
One of many focuses for the foundation has been offering students opportunities to receive financial support for higher education. The Judy Huang Scholarship is awarded to support Asian students with financial needs who demonstrate perseverance and hard work. A Chinese native, Judy came to the U.S. at just twelve years-old. She gained the opportunity to attend Boston College with a scholarship and her college education is essential to her success today. The scholarship is a way to support students and ensure that they have the career advancement opportunities that a college education offers.
We are proud to announce that the pool of Judy Huang Scholarship candidates for the upcoming 2017-2018 school year has been selected. The selection committee will be meeting shortly to make their final selections! Stay tuned – we will be announcing the finalist soon.
